As an Investigative Reporter you’ll be using your powers of observation and a nose for  a story, to uncover the secrets of the conference.  You will have privelaged access to all the workshops and the “behind the scenes” of  the conference, in your quest to discover and unlock the secrets within.
HQ needs your help to find out what goes on in the Kids Conference, and to report back
your findings.
We need creative people keen to learn, likes photography, podcasting, have an inquisitive mind,
and likes to write.

Workshop 2:     Graphics Masterclass -Cool Poster Design

We will explore the great suite of free online applications, Aviary to create a poster advertising the Kids Conference. We’ll take photos of all the great stuff going on, and edit the images first using Google’s Picasa,
and then using Aviary’s image editor, Phoenix. Once we have great looking photos, we’ll use the effects editor, Peacock, to create some wacky visual effects. Combine these with digital art and text effects in the vector editor, Raven, and we’ll have some awesome looking posters.

Workshop 4:     Garage Band

Move over OpShop and Tiki Tane. Garageband is your chance to become a unique New Zealand music star.
You will create original lyrics, mix background tracks and vocals to record a new composition. You will use the tools within Garageband to compose a country and western style ballad with rap or hip hop overtones. If time allows we will take photographs to support the music. Can you do it? Will you sound like Willie Nelson meets Scribe or Johnny Cash meets Pink?
It’ll be a red carpet moment when we hear your final sounds over the speakers.
